Post image for 4 Affordable Ways To Improve Your Blog

In my previous article I received a comment from Pascal, who is a regular reader of SteitBlog, stating that blogging is different than any other business in the world when it comes to investment. His comment inspired me into writing an article on how to save money while blogging yet improve your blog and traffic at the same time.

Starting a blog not only quick, its very cheap also. I bet there is no money earning opportunity in world, it may be online or offline business, with less investment to start up.

1- Coupon Codes

Whenever you want to buy a domain name, just before checking out look for coupon codes that work with this registrar. I use GoDaddy and I always end up saving more than 10% with every purchase by using coupon codes. Coupons also work with Hosting providers, WordPress Themes, Ebooks and any other tool that helps you improve your blog.

2- Barter Services

If you have excellent skills in writing, designing, Internet marketing…etc, just contact other people that provide a service or a product you need and offer them a barter deal. You would design their logo, help them in marketing their website or whatever and in return they will be providing you with their service or product in which you need.

3- Limited Offers and Competitions

Always keep your eyes wide-open for offers and competitions. I always do my best to participate in all competitions that different bloggers hold and at the end they either giveaway a hosting package, WordPress Theme, Dinner with them, E-book, Laptops, phones, and many others. I joined ProBlogger Community 2 months ago at a price of $1.95 per month where now it’s $5.95 which means I save more than 30% every month.

My friend Robert Bravery from Integral Web Solutions has recently launched a competition with different prizes and conditions. By the way, by publishing this post I am getting a FREE week of advertising on his blog. It never hurts to try!

4- Socialize

By socializing and getting to know the big names in the blog sphere, someway or another it would pay back. Earlier last month, I published an article about how my traffic increased by over than 300% and it was all by having big names RTing my tweets.

What are the ways in which you obtain free or discounted services or products that help you improve your blog?

Looks great, just look out for local laws in accordance to #3 Limited Offers and Competitions, or you could be sued, yet another great post

Nice post Firas. Oh BTW, Thanks for the mention, and yes, you get that free week ad.
BTW, this new law in the US (I think) is real crazy don’t you think

Thank you guys and thanks Robert Bravery for the Ad.

I really think that this is none sense and Blogging should be FREE media for bloggers to express their opinions! That’s weird, I am looking forward for the end of this year to see the reaction and how it will be like!

What do you guys think about it?
