I agree with 4 out of 5 of the steps you listed.

My beef is with step #4. What are all the rest of us supposed to do if we don’t have a wife who is a professional copywriter? ;-)

I almost follow same technique to collect ideas, My notepad and whiteboard are my primary source. Also sometimes I use sticky notes too. About #4, I don’t have a professional proof reader so I just go through my article 2-3 times myself.

Hey, we’ve got the same style. I’m glad I’m not alone in this powerful way to writing an article. Have you tried cellphone in catching ideas? I do; I use the recorder to record any ideas that pop out of my mind. :-)

Thanks for sharing these helpful ideas. Most of my brainstorming comes when I first get up in the morning. Alot of ideas come to my mind and I put them down on a notepad (I have way too many). When I write my articles/posts, I always start out writing it in Word first. I make it a point to write as if I am speaking to one person. I let my personality show through so the reader can get to know me better and see how I think. I usually re-read my articles several times and have a friend who is a copywriter, so that certainly helps.
